About Morpho

Morpho is a leading Decentralized Finance (DeFi) lending protocol that raised $70 million from Ribbit Capital, a16z crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Variant, Brevan Howard, Pantera, Blocktower, and 50 others to build an open lending network giving anyone, anywhere, access to the best possible terms. Morpho is experiencing explosive growth, with over $10 billion in deposits on the network, solidifying itself as the new standard for DeFi lending. Now, Morpho is scaling its team of contributors to establish itself as a cornerstone, not just of DeFi, but of a new internet-native financial system.

Our Mission

Morpho's mission is to power human ambition with open access to capital. Human ambition has no borders, but the capital to fuel it does. Today's financial system is closed and fragmented. No one sees all opportunities, most overpay, and some are excluded entirely. We believe capital should flow efficiently to where it's needed most, giving anyone, anywhere, access to the best possible terms.

How we work

We move fast on hard problems in a nascent market with no set playbook: navigating uncertainty is part of the job. You'll be challenged: anyone can question work and decisions must be justified. We keep a high bar and match it with high support: we help each other unblock and share context openly, with low ego. More about our values: morpho.org/jobs.

Role

The mission of this role is to compound the CEO's time by providing direct C-level support and building AI-native leverage across executive operations, growing into a trusted strategic operator as Morpho scales. This means figuring out the best way to get the ops tasks done while being flexible to tackle different needs.

Responsibilities

Build the Machine

  • Design and ship AI-powered workflows using Claude, AI agents, and automation tools to eliminate repetitive tasks across executive operations (email triage, scheduling, travel, briefing prep).

  • Create scalable playbooks and procedures for every recurring exec ops process by identifying the right solution for each operational gap: automate it, document it, or find the right person or service to own it. The faster you build this map, the faster you earn autonomy.

Compound the CEO's time

  • Own the CEO's daily rhythm: ensure calendar, travel, inbox prioritization, and daily context are handled reliably, through whatever combination of tools and support works best.

  • Shadow the CEO to learn context, decision-making patterns, communication style, and stakeholder dynamics.

  • Ramp with existing ops support. You won't be alone on day 1. You'll partner with our current ops team to progressively take ownership as your systems and context grow.

Drive strategic impact

  • Support investor preparation: synthesize data, draft materials, build narratives. Quality and speed matter equally.

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives with minimal supervision. Create structure in ambiguous contexts, unblock stakeholders, and keep projects moving without becoming a bottleneck.

  • Become a trusted proxy. Within a year, you should be able to make judgment calls on reversible decisions, and escalate the right things early.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 days

  • Understand the CEO's operating system, preferences, and escalation thresholds.

  • Ship a first useful automation that saves time in a real workflow.

  • Contribute to day-to-day exec ops with context-complete written updates.

First 4 months

  • Core exec ops (calendar, scheduling, travel) run reliably with minimal back-and-forth, through whatever system you've built.

  • Multiple AI/agent workflows deployed that measurably reduce manual work.

  • Making good calls on reversible decisions and escalating the right things early.

In 1 year

  • Trusted strategic partner who can represent the CEO in internal workstreams.

  • Exec ops runs smoothly and scalably with low oversight, systematized and not dependent.

  • Demonstrated readiness to grow into a Chief of Staff scope.

Must-have Experience & Skills

  • 2 to 3 previous high-quality internships or work experiences in fast-paced environments: startups, VC, tech, consulting, banking, finance or founder-adjacent roles.

  • Hands-on AI and automation experience: built with Claude, ChatGPT, AI agents, or automation tools.

  • Strong systems thinking: able to prototype a workflow, set up agents, or vibe-code a simplified automation without waiting for an engineer.

  • High ownership and bias for action, with comfort making reversible decisions quickly and learning fast.

  • Clear, crisp async communication, with low-noise writing that is easy to act on.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with strict confidentiality and discretion.

  • Comfort with personal tasks. Like any EA-adjacent role, some requests will be personal in nature.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Humble.
