About

Bitget is positioning itself as a “Universal Exchange (UEX)”: a single platform designed to bring together trading, asset management, and access to a wider array of financial instruments, with an emphasis on combining the familiar user experience of a centralized exchange with fully transparent onchain rails.

The Opportunity

Bitget’s UEX (Universal Exchange) vision starts from a user reality: most people don’t want to choose between “easy” and “transparent.” They want products that feel as seamless as a centralized exchange, while still benefiting from the verifiability and composability of DeFi.

That tension shows up most clearly in yield products. Stablecoin earn is one of the most universal demands in crypto, but users often face a trade-off: onchain yield can be transparent yet operationally complex, while custodial earn can be simple yet the yield sources are opaque.

Bitget sees a growing demand in its user base for “sustainable onchain yield opportunities” that combine “DeFi transparency” with “the ease of centralized infrastructure.”

For Bitget, solving this wasn’t just adding another yield widget in its app. It was a strategic step toward the UEX model described in its broader messaging: bringing “centralized–decentralized services” under a unified product surface, so users can access crypto-native opportunities without having to become power-users of wallet tooling.

The Solution

Bitget integrated Morpho to power Bitget Earn on Arbitrum, launching USDC and USDT onchain earn products that run on DeFi rails while preserving a familiar exchange experience.

The key design choice is that Bitget doesn’t ask users to “go manage DeFi.” Instead, when a user subscribes, Bitget automatically creates a dedicated onchain address for that subscription, converts customer funds into the correct asset on Arbitrum, and deposits them into the underlying vaults, all with just a few simple taps. Users are exempted from the onchain complexity that is often described as the number one barrier to using DeFi.

From there, funds are deployed to Morpho in real time, interest begins accruing immediately, and redemptions follow the same logic: arrive instantly, without delays or fiddling with any additional interface other than the Bitget App that users are already familiar with. Bitget also automates gas conversion and payment so users don’t need to maintain native gas balances.

This is where Morpho fits particularly well into Bitget’s UEX ambitions. Morpho is the universal lending network that connects lenders and borrowers to “optimal opportunities worldwide,” and is designed to be integrated by enterprises as embedded lending products. Morpho’s architecture, immutable Markets and programmable noncustodial Vaults, also gives integrators a path to tailor risk/return profiles and product constraints via curation, rather than shipping a one-size-fits-all earn product.

So where does the yield come from? Lenders earn yield from interest paid by borrowers accessing liquidity across a global borrower set backed by sustainable borrowing demand, such as Coinbase’s crypto-backed loans. Bitget’s stablecoin depositors are earning from borrowing demand wherever it exists on Morpho’s network.

The Results

The immediate outcome is a stablecoin earn experience that aligns with the UEX “bridge” Bitget describes: DeFi execution and transparency behind the scenes, with centralized UX in front. Users get flexible-term products on Arbitrum with instant subscription and redemption, while deposits and yield remain verifiable onchain.

Early traction: $100M+ in USDC and USDT has already been deposited into Morpho via Bitget. This captures the value of the DeFi Mullet thesis: stablecoin earn is one of the clearest value propositions for any exchange customers, and Morpho gives Bitget a way to offer it as a transparent onchain product without exposing its users to DeFi operational complexity.
