Events Lead

Location

Remote (US or EU, up to GMT+2 to ensure sufficient overlap with the rest of the team).

Role

The mission of this role is to own how Morpho shows up in the world: at the conferences that matter, the gatherings we host around them, and eventually the flagship event we build ourselves, by running the full events calendar from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own the events calendar end-to-end: decide which conferences Morpho attends, who goes, what objectives each event serves, and coordinate with Growth, BD, and leadership on follow-up so every attendance ties back to clear business outcomes.

  • Plan and run hosted experiences around key industry events: own venue, merch, gifts, guest list, and all production details that shape what attendees remember.

  • Lead Morpho-owned conferences: own concept, format, programming, production, and execution from zero to live.

  • Track and manage speaking and sponsorship opportunities: surface the ones worth pursuing, manage external organizers and partners, and coordinate Morpho's presence across all touchpoints.

  • Support the operations team on internal events and offsites: the gatherings that bring the team together throughout the year, including merch coordination.

  • Evolve the Morpho events playbook: build repeatable formats for different event tiers, create clear outcome frameworks, and raise the overall standard of how Morpho shows up.

What Success Looks Like

First 30 days

Deep familiarity with Morpho's product, customers, and commercial priorities. Mapped the full landscape of relevant industry events for the next 12 months. Built a clear picture of what has worked historically and what has not. Identified the next 1 to 2 events on the calendar and taken operational ownership.

First 4 months

Published a prioritized events calendar for the year with clear rationale on what is in and what is out. Defined the default playbook for how Morpho shows up per event type. Delivered multiple hosted experiences end-to-end with objectives set beforehand and a post-mortem after.

In 1 year

Multiple events executed to a high standard, with a measurable track record of pipeline and relationships generated. Events function operates predictably. Leadership and Growth know what to expect and when. A clear proposal is in place for the concept, format, and timeline of Morpho's first owned conference.

Must-have Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years as an events operator: has run demand gen events, hosted gatherings, and larger-scale productions end-to-end with measurable outcomes.

  • 3+ years in the crypto or web3 space: understands the ecosystem, the players, the culture, and how events work differently here than in traditional industries.

  • Commercial mindset: defines objectives before every event, drives follow-up, and measures outcomes in terms of pipeline and relationships, not just attendance or aesthetics.

  • Strong project management across multiple workstreams: can coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and production partners simultaneously without things slipping.

  • Hands-on and low ego: willing to carry boxes, set up the merch stand, and run logistics on the day, as well as set the strategy the week before.

  • Comfortable operating in fast-changing contexts with partial information and shifting priorities.

  • Clear and crisp async communication with cross-functional teams.

  • Ownership and autonomy: high surface area role with limited overhead.

  • Team-first mindset: events success is collective, not personal.

  • Humble.
