Morpho appoints Coinbase institutional veteran Brian Foster to lead next phase of global growth

Morpho Association today announced the appointment of Brian Foster to its leadership team as Head of GTM (Go-to-market).

Brian joins Morpho after more than seven years at Coinbase, where he built and scaled some of the firm’s most impactful institutional and infrastructure businesses, spanning ETFs, trading as a service, stablecoin payments, and the firm’s government practice. During his tenure, he led many of Coinbase’s foundational commercial relationships, including its landmark partnership with BlackRock and work with the U.S. federal government.

At Morpho, Brian will lead go-to-market as the company scales adoption across fintechs, financial institutions, and other businesses building onchain credit products.

“Brian has a unique track record of bringing crypto infrastructure to some of the world’s largest financial institutions, fintechs, and governments. He understands what it takes to build the partnerships and distribution needed to drive adoption far beyond DeFi,” said Paul Frambot, co-founder and CEO of Morpho. “He will play a critical role in Morpho’s next chapter as we scale from a leading crypto credit protocol into the foundation for global credit markets.”

Brian joins at a period of significant acceleration for Morpho. The team has grown to 80+ contributors worldwide, up roughly 70% over the past year, and has expanded its global presence with new offices and team growth in New York and Singapore.

“Morpho has built one of the most important capabilities in onchain finance and has incredible momentum as it evolves from protocol adoption to becoming infrastructure for major financial institutions,” said Brian Foster, Head of GTM at Morpho. “There is a huge opportunity to bring onchain infrastructure to a much broader market, and I’m excited to help Morpho get there.”

Morpho recently surpassed $17 billion in total deposits, a new all-time high. Companies and fintechs including Coinbase, Robinhood, Circle, Bitwise Asset Management and Société Générale already build on Morpho to bring onchain credit products to their users and clients.
